AgileEngine is seeking a Software Architect to assess platform architecture and define a target-state design for an FDA-regulated SaaS product. The role requires leadership experience guiding senior engineers and a deep understanding of SOLID, GRASP, and modern architecture patterns.

You will design APIs, data models, and integration layers for multi-language systems and drive legacy modernization with a focus on security, auditability, and resiliency in private cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Experience as a senior technical leader guiding large-scale architecture.

Responsibilities

• Assess current architecture and data flows to identify debt and scalability constraints.
• Define a target-state architecture aligned with DDD, clean architecture, and regulatory expectations.
• Design denormalized storage to accelerate read-heavy queries with trade-off analysis.
• Develop a phased roadmap to modernize legacy components while maintaining backward compatibility.
• Establish engineering standards, coding guidelines, and decision-making frameworks.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing, and release processes; support secure, auditable delivery lifecycles.
• Mentor engineers and document architecture for future maintenance.
