Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment, with LatAm coverage.

The role emphasizes senior technical ownership, data access controls, and robust ingestion pipelines. You will design, build, and maintain DL pipelines across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers, while improving observability and incident management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Advanced Snowflake experience including data-layer design and production troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL skills and dbt for transformations and lineage.
• Experience with Fivetran or HVR and custom ingestion pipelines.
• Hands-on with AWS data services, especially S3.
• Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and tooling.
• Strong data modeling, dependencies, and data quality.
• Experience with observability, logging, and incident management.
• Ability to lead complex incident resolution and preventive actions.
• Excellent English communication; client-facing.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform service tower during LatAm coverage.
• Operate and improve Snowflake environments, including configuration and performance.
• Administer data access with least-privilege and audits.
• Manage data ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines.
• Design, build, and maintain pipelines and dbt models across RAW, CURATED, CONSUMPTION.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations and governance.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo Workflows and Kubernetes workloads.
• Define data quality and observability standards.
• Expand monitoring and lineage using SYNQ, dbt, Snowflake, Splunk.
• Lead data incidents and post-incident reviews.
• Support Tableau Cloud operations when needed.
• Deliver standardization, automation, reliability, cost improvements.
• Create runbooks and training materials.
• Mentor engineers and participate in on-call rotation.
• Participate in Data Platform on-call rotation.
