Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based data platform within a regulated healthcare environment.

You will own the data platform during LatAm coverage, optimize pipelines, manage ingestion, and ensure high data quality and observability. You will design and maintain dbt models across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers while coordinating with Cloud/DevOps for Argo Workflows and Kubernetes workloads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Expertise operating Snowflake including design, performance, and access patterns.
• Advanced SQL skills and dbt for transformations, testing, and lineage.
• Experience with Fivetran or HVR and custom ingestion pipelines.
• Hands-on with AWS data services, especially S3, and event/file-based ingestion.
• Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes for data workloads.
• Proficiency in Python and automation tooling for data platforms.
• Strong data modeling, dependencies, schema evolution, and data quality.
• Experience with observability, logging, alerting, and incident management.
• Proven ability to lead complex incidents and drive preventive actions.
• Strong written/verbal English; able to work with client stakeholders.
• Full availability for 9:00 AM–6:00 PM PT and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform service tower across LatAm coverage.
• Operate and optimize Snowflake production and non-production environments; manage sizing and performance.
• Administer data access with least-privilege and audit-ready controls.
• Manage data ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines.
• Design, build, and maintain pipelines and dbt models across RAW/CURATED/CONSUMPTION layers with CI/CD.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations and downstream Snowflake workloads.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps on Argo Workflows and Kubernetes-hosted workloads.
• Define data quality standards and enable observability with alerts and lineage.
• Lead major data incidents; perform root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Support Tableau/BI data flows and maintain runbooks and operating procedures.
• Mentor engineers and participate in on-call rotations.
