Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking an experienced engineer to lead SDN development for software-defined datacenters. You will design, implement, and deploy network automation solutions across multi-cloud environments, integrating monitoring and security practices.

You will mentor junior engineers and drive adoption of AI-assisted development to improve code quality and delivery speed. The role requires strong knowledge of SDN, scripting languages, and modern DevOps methodologies in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Proficient in Python, Go, JavaScript, Rust, andShell scripting for network automation
• Deep understanding of SDN, BGP, VRF, MPLS, and datacenter networking
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform and network automation frameworks
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and systems thinking skills
• Experience leading Agile cross-functional teams and mentoring juniors
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices
• Advanced English skills

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of SDN solutions for software-defined datacenters
• Design and implement network automation and infrastructure management platforms
• Architect and deploy SDN across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, private cloud)
• Develop automation frameworks, APIs, and tooling for network devices and monitoring
• Collaborate in an Agile Scrum environment and review code for performance and reliability
• Mentor junior engineers on automation and IaC principles
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices with measurable standards
• Apply SDLC tooling knowledge to improve automation value at scale
