BairesDev is seeking a Senior Scrum Master / Project Manager to lead agile ceremonies, drive governance, and collaborate with global clients from a remote setup. You will refine backlogs, map workflows, and produce essential project documentation for leadership and delivery teams.

Ideal candidates bring strong Agile credentials, extensive Scrum Master experience, and proficiency with Jira/Confluence. This role offers a flexible, remote environment with exposure to large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach delivering agile transformations.
• Ability to manage projects in waterfall or hybrid delivery models including operations/infrastructure/capex.
• Proven track record of owning agile delivery and project governance on the same project.

Responsibilities

• Run agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and workflow setup using Jira/Confluence.
• Steer projects in waterfall or hybrid modes with governance over scope and budgets.
• Conduct discovery with teams and map workflows before presenting recommendations.
• Produce RAID logs, RACI matrices, retrospectives, and backlog documentation.
• Prepare reports and presentations tailored to audiences from ops teams to executives.
• Align recommendations to client context and PMO requirements.
• Build trust with stakeholders across QA, dev, business analysts, and leadership.

Senior Scrum Master / Project Manager at BairesDev

What You'll Do

• Run agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and workflow structuring using Jira and Confluence.
• Flex into project management responsibilities on waterfall or hybrid initiatives, particularly operational, infrastructure, and capex-based projects.
• Conduct thorough discovery with teams before proposing recommendations, mapping workflows and validating findings directly with them.
• Produce well-structured documentation, including RAID logs, RACI matrices, closure documents, retrospectives, and backlogs.
• Prepare reports and presentations tailored to the audience, from operational teams to leadership and executives.
• Align terminology and recommendations to the client's specific context and ways of working.
• Manage scope with discipline, working within what has been agreed with the client's PMO.
• Build and maintain trust with multiple technical and business stakeholders, including QA, development, business analysts, and senior management.

What We Are Looking For

• Solid experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, with a track record of implementing agile practices in organizations undergoing process transformation.
• Demonstrated ability to flex into project management on waterfall or hybrid delivery models, ideally in operational, infrastructure, or capex-based initiatives.
• Proven experience owning both agile delivery and project governance responsibilities simultaneously on the same project.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt communication style to different audiences.
• Background working in a staff augmentation or embedded consultant model.
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence, including workflow configuration and analysis grounded in direct engagement with teams.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience managing multiple, complex stakeholders, including navigating formal approval hierarchies.

Nice To Have

• Prior experience with public sector or government clients.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, and support or BAU processes.
• Relevant certifications, such as PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master, or SAFe.
