Lever, Inc. in Argentina is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to develop backend services with Java and Spring Boot while modernising the architecture. You will also maintain the Angular frontend to ensure smooth interaction between UI and backend logic.

You will help transition toward domain-driven design, architect RESTful APIs, and work in cross-functional squads delivering high-quality features.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to develop backend services and APIs while modernising application architecture.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Spend the majority of your time (approx. 70–80%) designing and implementing robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain the supporting Angular frontend, ensuring a seamless connection between the UI and your backend logic.
• Lead the transition from traditional database-centric designs toward a domain-driven structure (DDD).
• Architect RESTful APIs that prioritise proper HTTP verbs and clean, scalable patterns over legacy RPC styles.
• Work within cross-functional squads to deliver high quality features while maintaining the cohesive and proactive spirit of the team.

MUST HAVES

• 4+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot, along with solid working knowledge of Angular.
• A strong grasp of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and software design patterns.
• Deep experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, with a clear understanding of standard API protocols.
• Experience working with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL and Oracle, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Strong SQL skills to navigate and optimise very complex SQL, along with robust transactional database experience and a thorough understanding of enterprise-level, high transaction­-al platforms. Lacking this specific database proficiency will be a direct reason for rejection.
• A passion for server-side logic, performance, and architecture.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience working with spec‑driven development or related AI‑Driven Software Development Life Cycle approaches.
• Previous experience in the Loyalty or Fintech sectors.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerisation (Docker).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience refactoring legacy structures into modern, domain-driven architectures.
