Formación

• 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or related roles.
• Strong SDLC experience from requirements to production release.
• Experience with multi-tiered, web-based, SaaS and/or mobile apps.
• Hands-on manual and functional testing experience.
• Experience creating test plans, strategies, cases, and docs.
• Experience with risk-based testing and defect tracking.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web and mobile-based SaaS applications .

This position will initially serve as the primary QA Engineer within a small project team, working closely with Software Developers, Product Managers, Manual QA Engineers, and Automation Engineers to define and execute comprehensive testing strategies.

The ideal candidate has strong experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) , including test planning, manual and automated testing, database validation, defect management, and risk-based testing. This role also offers the opportunity to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior QA professionals and potentially evolve into a QA Lead or Manager position.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement comprehensive risk-based testing strategies for assigned software projects.
  
• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, testing procedures, and quality assurance strategies .
  
• Execute functional testing and document test results accurately.
  
• Manage testing schedules and track QA progress across multiple projects in fast-paced development environments.
  
• Identify potential quality risks and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies .
  
• Analyze, document, track, and report software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
  
• Maintain accurate documentation of defects, testing results, project metrics, and QA activities .
  
• Communicate testing status, risks, blockers, and quality metrics to project stakeholders.
  
• Perform testing of multi-tiered, web-based, mobile, and SaaS applications .
  
• Validate application functionality at the database level , including writing and executing database queries.
  
• Collaborate with Test Automation Engineers to identify opportunities for increasing automation coverage and testing efficiency.
  
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated tests when appropriate.
  
• Work with functional and performance/load testing tools to validate application quality and scalability.
  
• Collaborate closely with Software Engineering, Product Management, and QA teams throughout the SDLC .
  
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support continuous delivery of high-quality software.
  
• Troubleshoot complex application issues and assist engineering teams with root cause identification.
  
• Drive continuous improvements across QA processes, testing methodologies, tools, and infrastructure .
  
• Mentor and train junior QA Engineers on technical concepts, testing methodologies, and QA best practices.
  
• Participate in software development and testing process improvement initiatives.
  
• 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Testing, Product Development, or related roles.
  
• Strong experience across the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) , from requirements analysis through production release and post-release support.
  
• Significant experience testing multi-tiered, web-based, SaaS, and/or mobile applications .
  
• Strong hands-on experience with manual and functional software testing .
  
• Proven experience creating comprehensive test plans, test strategies, test cases, procedures, and testing documentation .
  
• Experience with risk-based testing methodologies .
  
• Experience with functional and/or performance/load testing tools .
  
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks ; hands-on knowledge of Selenium is highly desirable.
  
• Experience testing database-driven applications .
  
• Ability to write and execute SQL/database queries for testing and data validation.
  
• Experience with defect tracking, reporting, and QA metrics .
  
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Experience working with Agile software development methodologies is highly desirable.
  
• Experience collaborating with Software Development, Product Management, Manual QA, and Automation teams.
  
• Experience mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior QA Engineers .
  
• Experience participating in or leading QA and software development process improvement initiatives .
  
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology , or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
