Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to advance automated testing and quality practices across software releases. The role requires strong experience in both manual and automated testing, with a focus on holistic quality and robust test design using Gherkin for BDD.

The candidate will collaborate with product and engineering teams, contribute to regression strategies, and participate in on-call rotation to maintain release readiness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role.
• 3+ years of experience in automated testing.
• Experience writing and working with Gherkin for behavior-driven development.
• Experience with prompt engineering and harness engineering.
• Experience building Agentic skills focused on Quality Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined set of criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types to ensure proper behavior of software.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bug identification.
• Identify and elevate any risk to quality of the product or the process.
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure quality throughout the SDLC and product release cycles.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in the testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort to promote accurate planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repositories, run custom scripts, and facilitate automated quality practices.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
