Avenga is seeking a Senior/Semi-Senior Backend Developer in Argentina (Remote/Hybrid) to design, develop, and optimize scalable Node.js backend services. You will work with AWS infrastructure, Kafka-based messaging, and modern frameworks to deliver high-throughput systems.

You will collaborate with software engineers, architects, and product specialists to implement clean architecture, microservices, and event-driven patterns.

Formación

• Must have strong backend development experience with Node.js/TypeScript and modern frameworks (NestJS or Express).
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka for asynchronous processing.
• Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS) and containerization (Docker, EKS).
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis).

In Argentina (Remote / Hybrid) within the IT & Software Engineering industry, we are actively seeking a Senior or Semi-Senior Backend Developer to strengthen our team dedicated to building scalable, high-performance digital solutions and robust microservices architectures.

Your primary responsibility will involve designing, developing, and optimizing high-throughput backend services using Node.js and AWS infrastructure. This is you

• Solid experience as a Backend Developer working with Node.js, TypeScript, and modern frameworks like NestJS or Express.
• Hands-on expertise with Event-Driven Architecture and messaging platforms (specifically Apache Kafka) for asynchronous processing.
• Strong knowledge of Cloud infrastructure and containerization, particularly AWS (Lambdas, EKS / Kubernetes, Multi-Region) and Docker.
• Proven experience working with relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis.
• Solid understanding of core architectural principles, including Clean Architecture, SOLID, DDD, and Microservices.

Nice-to-have skills

• Experience using Serverless Framework.
• Familiarity with AI-Assisted Engineering tools (such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot) integrated into daily development workflows.
• Previous experience in global projects or distributed remote teams.
