Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Senior Node.js Backend Engineer to design and deliver scalable backend services and robust APIs in an Agile setting. You will work with cross-functional teams, write efficient SQL queries, and leverage AWS services to build reliable solutions.

The role requires 3+ years of backend/API experience, strong Node.js skills, and proficiency in SQL, REST API development, and AWS. English at B2 level or higher is expected.

We are seeking a Senior Node.js Backend Engineer with solid experience in backend development, SQL, API development and integration, and AWS. In this position, you will create scalable backend services, architect robust APIs, and deliver dependable solutions within a collaborative Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services with Node.js
• Design, build, and integrate REST APIs
• Write and optimize SQL queries along with database operations
• Create and integrate solutions using AWS services
• Resolve issues and ensure application performance and reliability
• Partner with cross-functional teams within an Agile environment

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in backend and API development
• Proficiency in Node.js backend development
• Expertise in SQL and database operations
• Skills in REST API development and integration
• Familiarity with AWS services
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or above

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes
