EPAM Systems in Argentina seeks a Senior Java Engineer to build and evolve a Backend for Frontend service layer powering high-traffic mobile experiences for clients worldwide. You will collaborate with engineers, product partners, designers, and QA to deliver fast, reliable APIs and maintain beautiful code.

This role requires 3+ years in Java backend development, strong Spring Boot and REST API design, unit testing, CI pipelines, and problem-solving skills in cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Java backend development experience.
• Strong Spring Boot experience building server-side applications.
• Strong REST API design and integration experience.
• Strong algorithms and data structures knowledge.
• Strong unit testing skills and experience with test automation.
• Build tool experience with CI pipelines and automated quality checks.
• Performance optimization skills for asynchronous and high-throughput services.
• Problem-solving skills for open-ended technical challenges.
• Team collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
• Self-starter mindset with ownership and initiative.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Upper-Intermediate English skills (B2) for clear written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver the Backend for Frontend API layer for mobile clients.
