Placements24 seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst specialized in Network Security to safeguard the organization’s network and data in Sandton. You will monitor security systems, investigate incidents, and contribute to the security strategy, protecting critical assets from evolving threats.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, security controls, and hands-on experience with firewalls, IDPS, SIEM, and NAC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 6+ years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on network security.
• Proficiency with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, NAC.
• Experience in incident response, threat hunting and digital forensics.
• Strong TCP/IP and network protocol knowledge.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCNA Security or CompTIA Security+ are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and security logs for threats.
• Investigate incidents and perform forensic analysis with remediation recommendations.
• Implement and manage security technologies including firewalls, IDPS, and VPNs.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and docs.
• Provide security awareness training to IT staff and end-users.
