Job summary

EPAM Systems in Argentina is seeking an Advanced Software Engineering Manager to lead an AI-powered assistant platform for institutional investment workflows. You will own end-to-end delivery in a high-autonomy environment and help ship reliable AI features quickly.

The role focuses on building Python-based backend services with FastAPI, deploying on AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform, while ensuring code quality and scalable architecture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong autonomy and self-governance for ambiguous tasks
• System design experience for scalable architectures
• Hands-on FastAPI experience or equivalent Python frameworks
• Cloud experience with AWS
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• High quality and reliability standards for production systems
• AI-assisted programming experience using Gen AI methods
• LLM experience integrating AI capabilities
• Advanced English proficiency (C1)

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end systems for an AI-powered assistant platform used in investment workflows
• Build backend services in Python using FastAPI to deliver chat, reporting, and workflow features
• Implement and ship LLM-powered capabilities with focus on correctness and reliability
• Define low-level requirements by partnering with business users
• Develop APIs and integrations for bespoke interfaces and rapid iteration
• Deploy and operate services using AWS with Terraform management
• Run and scale workloads on Kubernetes with observability and resilience
• Maintain high code quality through reviews and testing
• Coordinate within a small hands-on engineering team
• Adapt quickly to new technologies as the product stacks evolve
