Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Argentina is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead major mining and industrial infrastructure projects in San Juan. The role requires proven copper mining experience, including heap leaching platforms, process facilities and chemical treatment plants.

This is a senior on-site leadership role focused on delivery, contractor management and stakeholder coordination across all project phases.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of proven experience in mining projects, industrial infrastructure projects, EPC/EPCM environments, and construction and project management roles.
• Mandatory proven experience in copper mining and related base metals projects.
• Mandatory proven experience in heap leaching platforms / leach pads, mining process facilities, and chemical treatment or process plants associated with mining operations.
• Engineering degree is mandatory: Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Mining Engineering or related disciplines.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is mandatory, including full professional proficiency.
• Ability to lead meetings, presentations and reporting in English.
• Strong experience managing contractors and subcontractors, construction activities, multidisciplinary teams, project controls and client interfaces.
• Experience working on remote mining sites and high-altitude operations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead mining and infrastructure project execution from development through construction and commissioning.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks and overall project delivery.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and operational interfaces.
• Oversee contractors, construction management and site activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Manage client relationships and reporting processes.
• Support commercial, contractual and strategic project decisions.
• Drive project performance and delivery objectives.
