Localization Project Management Services to manage and execute software and marketing localization projects efficiently, focusing on financial estimation, prioritization for new markets, and developing and integrating processes with PMM and Sales teams.

Responsibilities

  1. Scope of Services Project Management: Lead localization projects, ensuring timely initiation and delivery in partnership with internal and global teams.
  2. Translation and Review Coordination: Resolve source language queries, manage linguistic reviews, and coordinate in-country reviews.
  3. Develop and Document Processes: Collaborate with teams to develop, document, and share processes related to translation workflows, reviews, style guides, glossaries, and budget estimations.
  4. Financial Estimator Framework: Develop a scalable framework for estimating costs for all translation projects year-over-year, including both country launches and ongoing quarterly campaigns.
  5. Prioritization of Translation Projects: Create a detailed list of prioritized translation projects for new market entries, including cost estimates.
  6. Process Development for Team Integration: Establish and document clear processes for PMM/Sales teams to engage with the localization team and conduct in-country reviews.

Requirements

  1. Experience in Localization Project Management: At least 4 years of experience in managing complete marketing and software localization cycles.
  2. Expertise in Translation Management Systems: Extensive knowledge of TMS systems (Phrase TMS preferred), MT engines, translation memories, glossaries, style guides, and term bases.
  3. Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle: Solid understanding of web platform development, internationalization standards, agile development, linguistic QA, and localization testing.
  4. Content and Format Familiarity: Familiarity with various content types (UI, websites, e-Learning, marketing assets, multimedia) and formats (.json, Madcap Flare, html, .xliff, InDesign, .srt, PowerPoint, etc.).
  5. Proficiency in Issue and Knowledge Management Tools: Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Asana, Google Apps, and other Agile development tools.
  6. Language Skills: Native-level or bilingual proficiency in Spanish, in addition to English.
  7. Communication and Analytical Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with an emphasis on analytical problem-solving and project management in localization.
  8. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on cultural nuances and translation quality.
  9. Adaptability and Team Contribution: A proactive, positive attitude with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and eagerness to contribute to a global team with expertise in localization.
