Abstra is hiring a Senior Java React Fullstack Software Engineer to own features end-to-end—from backend microservices to the user interface. You will drive architecture decisions across the stack in a modern Java/Spring Boot backend and a Next.js/React frontend, deployed on AWS.

You will work with US-based leadership and Spanish-speaking stakeholders across Latin America, 100% remote from Latin America, overlapping U.S. business hours.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience across backend and frontend.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and OO design.
• Hands-on experience with Java and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on UI experience with React/TypeScript (Tailwind, TanStack Query).
• Experience designing and operating microservices-based distributed systems.
• Experience with AI coding tools to accelerate development.
• Proficiency in English for daily collaboration with US-based teams.

Mansioni

• Own features end-to-end, from backend service design through the user interface.
• Build and maintain backend services in Java 21 / Spring Boot 3 and expose APIs via gRPC/Protobuf and REST.
• Develop user-facing features in React/Next.js (TypeScript) aligned with backend APIs.
• Design and evolve relational data models in PostgreSQL with schema migrations.
• Build event-driven features using Kafka where appropriate.
• Make architecture decisions, service boundaries, API contracts, and UI/state patterns.
• Monitor and operate services on AWS following DevOps patterns.
• Mentor engineers and help set technical standards across backend and frontend.
• Collaborate with product, customer support, and US leadership to translate requirements into features.
