Job summary

Bechtel is recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to support construction activities in Argentina. The role emphasizes technical support, coordination with design engineers, and ensuring quality on Substation and Line projects within mining sectors.

You will liaise with construction managers and apply environmental and regulatory requirements to align design and field work, with a focus on timely permit handling and project milestones.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineer degree and ten (10) years of work-related experience in substation and Line construction.
• Proven High Voltage experience in at least 2 mining projects.
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction engineering and technical support for a specific discipline on large stand-alone projects.
• Provide construction engineering and technical support for two or more construction engineering disciplines on small to medium projects.
• Assist craftsmen, foremen, and project supervision with regard to construction-related issues identified on drawings.
• Establish and maintain effective communication between the company and the design engineer to ensure timely flow of design documents and information.
• Coordinate the preparation and implementation of the project quality program when the quality function is the responsibility of the construction engineering department.
