ELEKS is seeking a Senior General Test Engineer to join the AI-first incident management team in Buenos Aires. You will own QA strategies, develop automation for API and end-to-end testing, and collaborate with engineers and product stakeholders to define specifications and acceptance criteria.

You will design and maintain automation frameworks, extend coverage to frontend, and ensure quality across the product in a greenfield environment with minimal supervision.

Formación

• 5+ years of software testing experience (manual and automated).
• Experience using AI/LLM tools in test automation and QA workflows.
• Ability to use AI for test design, generation, refactoring, debugging and maintenance.
• Familiarity with AI agents, MCP, hooks and agentic automation workflows is a plus.
• Strong API and end-to-end test automation using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks for API/backend testing.
• Proven experience defining quality strategy and QA processes in greenfield environments.
• Collaborating with engineers and product stakeholders to define specs, acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
• Ability to extend automation coverage from backend to frontend applications.
• Strong test architecture, mocking strategies and test data management.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Senior-level quality mindset with ownership of overall product quality.
• Highly self-directed and proactive in a greenfield environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

The Customer is building a safety network that connects consumers, enterprises, monitoring centers, first responders, and emergency services. This is a platform for transmitting critical data.

We are looking for a Senior General Test Engineer to join the AI-first incident management team. Strong ownership, proactive communication, and AI fluency are essential for success in this role.

REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of software testing experience, including both manual and automated testing

• Practical experience using AI/LLM tools in test automation and QA workflows
• Ability to use AI for test design, test case generation, automation code generation, refactoring, debugging, and maintenance
• Familiarity with AI agents, skills/tools, MCP, hooks, and agentic automation workflows is a plus

Strong experience in API and end-to-end test automation using Playwright and TypeScript

Experience designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks for API/backend testing

Proven experience defining quality strategy and establishing QA processes, testing standards, and test management practices in greenfield environments

Experience collaborating with engineers and product stakeholders to define feature specifications, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios

• Ability to extend automation coverage from backend services to frontend applications
• Strong understanding of test architecture, mocking strategies, and test data management
• Experience developing and maintaining end-to-end automated tests and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines
• Senior-level quality engineering mindset with ownership of overall product quality, not just test automation

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review, analyse and assess project requirements and specifications as well as product functionality to convert them into quality control process artefacts
• Prepare and acquire test data
• Develop, execute, refactor and optimize automation scripts
• Log and evaluate results and document deviations from the expected results
• Use automation scripts administration, monitoring, and management tools
• Provide automation test environment setup
• Review test artefacts developed by others
• Contribute to automation process control definition and improvement
• Provide new automation tools or approaches investigation and implementation
• Communicate with a customer
• Implement and execute tests at all planned levels, log and evaluate results and document deviations from the expected results
• Contribute to general project quality assurance process
• Analyse/improve/establish test process on a project
• Analyse coverage for project test basis
• Define relevant metrics for project
• Define, prioritize and estimate needed Test Efforts
• Measure performance of components and systems (if applicable)
