Job summary

Bechtel in Argentina seeks a senior environmental permits specialist to manage obtaining, maintaining, and monitoring permits for projects, ensuring compliance with national and provincial rules and client environmental standards.

You will bridge engineering and regulatory authorities, translating requirements into verifiable criteria and aligning permits with project schedules. This role requires strong electrical knowledge and extensive mining project experience.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineer degree with 10 years in substation and line construction.
• High Voltage experience in at least two mining projects.
• Ability to speak and write English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Support construction by providing technical support to craft and supervision and quality requirements.
• Assist craftsmen, foremen, and supervision with construction-related issues identified on drawings.
• Provide interpretation of design documents to support construction managers and contractors.
• Establish communication between the company and design engineers for timely information flow.
• Coordinate the project quality program when the quality function is the responsibility of the construction engineering department; report the status of functions performed by the construction engineering department to project management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
