Qualifications

• University degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Natural Resources, Geological Sciences or Biological Sciences.
• Professional registration in the corresponding jurisdiction is required.
• 5–8 years of professional practice in environmental management and permits; at least 3 years in mining, energy or infrastructure projects in Argentina.
• Graduate degree, major or diploma in environmental management, environmental impact assessment or environmental law is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and keeping updated the project permits matrix, identifying competent body, submission requirements, deadlines.
• Prepare, review and submit the Environmental Impact Report and its biennial updates, with supporting documentation for the provincial mining authority.
• Managing the associated sectoral permits: water use, effluent, emissions, hazardous waste, soil movement and transport of hazardous substances.
• Maintaining technical dialogue with provincial and national authorities, responding to observations and audits.
• Issuing environmental deliverables under the project control system and coordinating with engineering disciplines.
