Job summary

Bechtel in Argentina seeks a senior Electrical Engineer with 10+ years in HV substation and line construction to lead technical support on mining projects and ensure conformance with design and safety standards. You will coordinate with design, construction, and regulatory teams, translate design documents into field actions, and drive quality programs while maintaining schedule and compliance.

Qualifications

Electrical engineer degree and ten (10) years of work-related experience in substation and Line construction.
Proven High Voltage experience in at least 2 mining projects.
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to craft and supervision on construction projects.
Assist craftsmen, foremen, and project supervision with regard to construction-related issues identified on drawings.
Provide technical interpretation of design documents to support construction managers and contractors.
Establish and maintain effective communication between the company and the design engineer to ensure timely flow of documents.
Coordinate the preparation and implementation of the project quality program when needed.
