Sovos is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer III to optimize and scale our SaaS platforms globally. You will own configuration management across cloud environments, support deployment pipelines, and partner with development teams to improve reliability and performance.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted automation, modern monitoring, and collaboration in an agile setup. Strong English communication and on-call readiness are required.

Formación

• Requires experience with SaaS platforms and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with monitoring, deployment, and data storage in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet).
• Ability to work in an Agile team and communicate technical concepts clearly.

The Role

At Sovos, we're building the systems that power millions of daily transactions for customers around the world. As a Site Reliability Engineer III, you'll optimize the performance and scalability of our SaaS platforms, ensuring robust infrastructure that enables seamless tax compliance solutions. This role offers meaningful opportunities to shape our cloud infrastructure, elevate customer experience, and continuously expand your technical expertise.

More specifically, you will:

• Define and implement processes to maintain software product configurations and infrastructure server configurations across our SaaS environment.
• Maintain applications and tools throughout the software development lifecycle, partnering closely with development teams.
• Work within an agile team to develop software solutions and provide guidance on configuration management best practices.
• Continuously evaluate current configuration management practices and propose improvements that enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and automation to improve operational efficiency, accelerate troubleshooting, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring to Sovos

• You've built solid experience with SaaS technologies, SDLC processes, and cloud infrastructure including application monitoring, data storage, and deployment.
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Go, and familiarity with versioning tools like Git.
• Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools such as Azure DevOps, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Puppet.
• Experience with cloud deployment, monitoring, and operations analysis tools such as Grafana or Nagios.
• Comfort with AI-assisted workflows and demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance system reliability and operational processes.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and a team-oriented mindset with a willingness to share knowledge and ideas. Professional proficiency in English required (able to write technical documentation and communicate clearly with distributed teams); Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
• Availability to perform occasional off-hour responsibilities and participate in emergency on-call rotation.
• Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check upon hire.
