Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of platform engineering and data infrastructure, focusing on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling enabling data engineers to ship data products faster and safely.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps or SRE with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Deep AWS expertise: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda.
• Hands-on experience with Glue, Athena, and data lake concepts.
• Proficiency in IaC: Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data and infrastructure.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure with IaC tooling.
• Own observability: metrics, logs, alerts for data pipelines and platform.
• Develop DataOps tooling and reusable templates for data engineers.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Operate workflow orchestrators (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions).
• Build and maintain Glue ETL jobs for large-scale ingestion.
• Drive security: Secrets Manager, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation.
• Lead incident response and conduct post-mortems, mentoring juniors.
