About the role: This key architecture role involves translating complex business requirements into coordinated data models and maintaining a clean, optimized ELT codebase. You will work within a multi-functional team to support the development of an enterprise data warehouse.

Who you are:

• Hands-on developer passionate about various data projects.
• Supports colleagues in building strong functional requirements and provides technical insights.
• Articulates advantages and disadvantages of data design approaches and modeling methodologies.
• Maintains metadata catalog to support a scalable self-service analytics environment.
• Ensures technical requirements and standards are met and deployed according to team standards.
• Conducts code reviews, offers advice, and provides constructive feedback.
• Builds open dialogue with data team leads to clarify decision-making.
• Identifies emerging trends to support innovation aligned with business outcomes.
• Builds trust and strives to improve team interactions.
• Shows attention to detail and a passion for improving the code base.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, mathematics, business, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with cloud data platforms like GCP BigQuery, Azure Synapse, or AWS Redshift.
• Deep understanding of data modeling from conceptual to physical design, including methodologies like dimensional modeling.
• Proficiency in ANSI SQL; Python skills are a plus.
• Experience with dbt, including Jinja and advanced functionalities.
• Understanding of modern data architecture concepts like streaming and schema-on-read.
• Ability to assess and optimize data solution performance.
• Adaptability to evolving environments and business needs.
• Knowledge of distributed version control systems like GitHub.
• Basic understanding of DataOps principles.
