Job summary

Chainlink Labs is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to own reliability of large-scale distributed systems and data infrastructure. You will strengthen production operations for streaming workloads and Kubernetes, enforcing repeatable, version-controlled practices.

The role focuses on scalability, automation, and cost optimization across AWS and Kubernetes environments, with global, remote work options.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Hands-on Kafka/Redpanda streaming in production with capacity planning and troubleshooting.
• Provisioned and managed production infrastructure using Terraform with version-controlled changes.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads with scaling and safe rollouts.

Responsibilities

• Enable critical product initiatives by delivering streaming and data infrastructure for CRE, CCIP, Data Feeds and Data Streams.
• Maintain 99.9% availability for data infra as usage grows; scale and optimize resources.
• Reduce manual interventions via automation, alerts, and tested recovery procedures.
• Link Redpanda/Kafka traffic and Flink/BigQuery usage to consuming services.
• Create reusable infrastructure modules and deployment workflows for AWS and Kubernetes.
• Provide visibility into infrastructure consumers, adoption, reliability and costs.
