Formación

  • 5 years of experience as Data Engineer.

  • Good understanding of NoSQL databases.

In this role, as a Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for business decision-making. You will work with large datasets, collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize queries, ensure data quality, and enhance reporting processes and tools.


Responsibilities


  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-volume applications for data analytics and reporting.

  • Contribute to all phases of the application development lifecycle, write efficient and testable code, and ensure solutions meet technical specifications.

  • Drive continuous improvement by exploring new tools and technologies, proposing architectural enhancements, and maintaining best practices for performance and scalability.


Requirements


  • 5 years of experience as Data Engineer

  • Strong proficiency in Python and Java or Golang

  • Extensive experience in developing REST API applications

  • Deep knowledge of SQL and DBMS

  • Expertise in data modeling (Star schema, Snowflake) and data manipulation/cleansing

  • Good understanding of NoSQL databases and handling semi-structured/unstructured data

  • Experience with distributed processing technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Presto, or similar

  • Proficiency working with AWS environments (S3, Redshift, RDS, SQS, Athena, Glue, CloudWatch, EMR, Lambda, etc.)

  • Experience with code versioning tools like GitHub or similar

  • Background in batch processing (ETL/ELT)


Nice to Have


  • Experience with Agile/Kanban work methodology (JIRA)

  • Experience using Unix OS

  • Experience with dataviz tools (Tableau, Looker, DataStudio, PowerBI, or similar)

  • Understanding of files formats and how to manipulate them (AVRO, JSON, PARQUET, CSV, etc)

  • Knowledge in GCP

  • Knowledge in Streaming

  • Knowledge on orchestration tools (Apache Airflow, Prefect, Mage, or similar)
