Job summary

Chevron Global Business Services (GBS) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain automated data pipelines using Snowflake/Git/AWS-like tooling in a cloud environment. You will work with data scientists and engineers to enable analytics and AI-driven insights.

Responsibilities include data ingestion, transformation, and modeling across diverse sources, ensuring data quality, and supporting business objectives with scalable data products.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of Data Engineer experience.
• Experience with data acquisition, preparation and validation; data movement and transformation; analytics architecture; big data and cloud computing; security technologies.
• Proficiency with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Python, Java, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Git, CI/CD tooling, and related data tooling.
• Analytical thinking, consulting and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Understand business data needs and stakeholder requirements to support processes and objectives.
• Leverage data, software engineering, and data science to enable data accessibility and analytics processing.
• Ingest, cleanse, prepare, store data and develop data products aligned with architecture.
• Normalize and ingest data from multiple sources; enable data scientists with accessible data for analytics.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to scale and deploy models; contribute to internal tooling and services.
• Participate in inner-source development and deployment of technical services.
