Chevron Global Business Services (GBS) in Buenos Aires is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain automated data pipelines supporting cloud cost visibility and attribution. You will build scalable ELT/ETL workflows using SQL, Python, dbt, and Airflow across AWS services and Snowflake.

The role partners with Engineering and Finance to optimize data processing, performance, and cost, ensuring data quality and governance across end-to-end workflows in a global IT context.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Data Engineering roles
• Strong SQL and Python
• Experience with cloud ELT/ETL pipelines
• Data modeling and large-scale data processing
• CI/CD, IaC (Terraform), and REST API integrations
• Experience with AWS data services (Glue, Athena, Aurora)
• English at an upper-intermediate level

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain data pipelines and automation systems for cloud costs and telemetry
• Build scalable data pipelines and datasets for visibility and attribution
• Develop data models and ingestion frameworks for large telemetry data
• Create tools enabling cost-aware decision-making across stakeholders
• Optimize pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost
• Collaborate with Engineering and Finance on cost optimization insights
• Ensure data quality, validation, and auditability across end-to-end workflows
