J.P. Morgan is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (Data Engineer III) focused on AWS and Databricks to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines.

You will own ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics while collaborating with FinOps to optimize cloud costs and ensure security and governance across data assets. You will mentor junior engineers, lead projects with autonomy, and work closely with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, robust monitoring, and compliant data

Formación

• Experience across the data lifecycle: ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL understanding; data governance experience.
• Hands-on with AWS data services: Lambda, S3, Redshift, RDS, DynamoDB.
• Experience with IaC: Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using AWS services and Databricks.
• Optimize data processing workflows with Apache Spark and Delta Lake.
• Integrate data from various sources into Databricks and AWS data stores.
• Implement data governance, security controls, and access policies.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune data pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using IaC tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentор junior engineers.
• Update data models based on new use cases.
• Advise on data engineering best practices and tool configurations.
