Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Datacenter Services Operations professional to identify opportunities to upgrade server components, validate cabling, and ensure reliable network connectivity across client environments.

You will mentor technicians, lead change control processes, and collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to minimize outages and improve service resiliency.

This role requires hands-on troubleshooting and a strong commitment to SOPs and MOPs in data center settings.

Responsibilities

• Identifies opportunities for other team members to work with servers and main hardware to ensure efficient performance for its entire lifecycle.
• Guides and coaches less experienced technicians on power distribution units and replacement hardware, removing and troubleshooting hardware without disturbing critical infrastructure, as needed.
• Validates cabling, checking network environment build and connectivity is established, verifying that devices are connected and error free.
• Monitors and assigns work in ticketing environment, mentoring less experienced technicians or implementing technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system within SLAs against assigned ticket, potentially identifying and escalating trends.
• Oversees adherence to SOPs/MOPs for data center tasks, ensuring work aligns with site rules and customer requirements.
• Trains on fix/repair techniques aligning with corporate objectives and ongoing data center change control processes.
