Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a senior environmental permits engineer to manage obtaining, maintaining, and monitoring environmental and sectoral permits for projects in Argentina. You will translate regulatory requirements into design criteria and ensure alignment with project schedules.

The role requires university-level environmental/engineering credentials, strong regulatory knowledge, and experience in EPC/EPCM environments, with fluency in English and Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineer degree with 10 years in substation/line construction.
• High Voltage experience in mining projects.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Ability to learn applicable local, state/provincial, and federal regulations.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred for international projects.

Responsibilities

• Permission management: maintain permits matrix and deadlines.
• Prepare and submit Environmental Impact Reports and updates.
• Manage sectoral permits: water use, emissions, waste, and transport of hazardous substances.
• Maintain dialogue with authorities and respond to observations.
• Coordinate with design engineers to align permits with project schedule.
