Role responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and integration processes, modeling and optimizing relational and dimensional databases, and building data access layers such as data marts, cubes, and APIs. You will ensure data quality and governance across large-scale datasets, collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data solutions in Azure, and apply best practices in data modeling, CI/CD, and DevOps. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced analytics tools, machine learning techniques, and modern monitoring platforms to drive data-driven decision-making.

Must have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Data Engineer with solid expertise in analytical modeling and data integration process design.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with relational and/or non-relational databases in Azure.
  • 4+ years of experience in ETL/ELT processes, integrating diverse heterogeneous sources (structured and unstructured data).
  • 3+ years of experience developing Pipelines and Data Flows with Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and/or Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • 3+ years of experience building data access layers through cubes, data marts, web services, and APIs.
  • 2+ years of experience with Python and/or R.
  • Hands-on experience in creating and managing Data Lakes.
  • Experience with continuous integration processes (CI/CD).
  • Proficiency with Git-based tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar.
  • Strong experience and advanced knowledge in developing complex SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of analytical tools (preferably MicroStrategy and Power BI).
  • Experience in relational and dimensional modeling; proficiency in SQL/PLSQL (preferably Informix/Oracle/MSSQL).
  • Experience working with large-scale databases (Data Warehousing techniques).
  • Relevant Data Engineer certifications.
Nice to have qualifications
  • Experience with Loyalty Management Systems (LMS).
  • Knowledge of IBM Informix.
  • Experience in table partitioning and maintenance of large-scale databases.
  • Experience upgrading database versions and ETL tools.
  • Knowledge of SAP BI/BW.
  • Experience in data quality control.
  • Knowledge of Data Governance frameworks.
  • Experience with Machine Learning techniques.
  • Familiarity with Kibana and Grafana.
