Job summary

FullStack is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer Tech Lead to join a client’s team for a 3-4 month project. You will work alongside designers and engineers daily, influence architecture, and build robust API middleware and BFFs for mobile platforms.

The role requires AWS, MongoDB, and experience leading teams in Agile settings. Ideal candidates have 6+ years of software engineering, a four-year degree, and advanced English.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of technical leadership influencing architecture and engineering direction.
• Advanced English is required.
• Successful completion of a four-year college degree is required.
• Expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, ElastiCache, S3, CloudFront).
• MongoDB experience and backend deployment pipelines optimization.
• Experience with Salesforce OCAPI/API, CMS-driven content management, and mobile-specific integrations.
• Strong history of designing scalable microservices and event-driven architectures for high-scale e-commerce systems.
• Experience with AI development tools (LangChain or LlamaIndex) and agentic workflows.

Responsibilities

• Integrate directly into the client team and collaborate daily with designers and engineers.
• Architect and implement Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) solutions and robust API middleware for mobile platforms.
• Design scalable microservices and ensure CI/CD delivery pipelines are robust.
• Represent the engineering team in client interactions and coordinate with external vendors.
