GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a seasoned Java backend engineer in Argentina to design and implement robust services using Java 25 and Spring Boot 3. The role emphasizes data modeling in MySQL, RESTful APIs, and cloud deployment on AWS, with hybrid work requiring two days on-site weekly.

You’ll lead medium-complexity developments with limited supervision, mentor peers, and contribute to high-quality engineering practices across the team.

• Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA.

• Cloud: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, or similar core services).
• Autonomy: able to lead medium-complexity developments without constant supervision.

Responsabilidades

• End-to-End Development: Design and implement robust backend services using Java 25 and Spring Boot 3.
• Data Management: Architect and optimize database schemas using MySQL and handle data persistence through JPA/CrudRepository.
• System Integration: Build and maintain secure, scalable RESTful APIs.
• Cloud Operations: Deploy and manage applications within AWS, applying cloud best practices.
• Technical Autonomy: Own features from discovery to deployment, resolve debt and complex bugs independently.
• Code Quality: Promote clean code, performance tuning, and unit testing for reliability.
• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and participate in peer code reviews.

• Autonomy: Proven ability to lead medium-complexity developments without constant supervision.

• Tools: Gradle or Maven for build automation.
• Testing: JUnit 5, Mockito, or Testcontainers.
• DevOps: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Jenkins).
• Architecture: Knowledge of Microservices architecture and Design Patterns.
• Agile: Experience working in Scrum or Kanban environments.
