Scale Up Recruiting Partners is assisting a fast-growing AI startup in hiring a Senior Backend Engineer. The role centers on building and maintaining backend infrastructure powering AI-driven platforms, including data layer, runtime, and third-party integrations.

You will work with the technical founders to implement AI-powered workflows, optimize performance, and improve system reliability in a remote LATAM setting.

Formación

• Experience building backend apps with TypeScript.
• Production experience with Node.js and async processing.
• Ability to design scalable data models and APIs.
• Experience with multiple third-party integrations.
• Strong debugging skills in production environments.
• Fluent written and spoken English; independent work mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services in TypeScript.
• Own the platform's data layer and backend runtime.
• Design efficient database schemas and improve performance.
• Integrate with multiple third-party APIs and normalize data.
• Debug asynchronous systems, queues and distributed workflows.
• Improve observability and overall platform reliability.
• Collaborate with founders to implement AI-powered workflows.
• Adopt new AI tools to boost engineering productivity.
