We are partnering with a fast-growing US-based cybersecurity startup to hire a Senior Backend Engineer who thrives in startup environments and enjoys building scalable systems from the ground up.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in software/backend development, strong Python and Java experience, and hands-on AI/LLM workflow expertise.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering or backend development.
• 5+ years of professional Python experience, building and maintaining production-grade backend systems.
• Strong experience with Java.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM-based development (AI agents, agentic systems, or LLM-powered apps).
• Experience building AI-driven features, LLM integrations, or agentic workflows in production environments.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalable architectures, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with databases, message queues, and data processing pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Proven experience building, maintaining, optimizing, and improving products after launch.
• Strong ownership mindset, autonomy, and ability to thrive in startup or fast-paced environments.
• Advanced English level

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
• Develop distributed systems involving databases, APIs, message queues, and data pipelines.
• Own features and services throughout their lifecycle from design to monitoring.
• Build production-ready systems focused on reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Improve system performance, scalability, and operational efficiency across the platform.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to key technical decisions.
• Continuously improve development processes, tooling, and engineering standards.
