Job summary

Caramel Point is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer in Córdoba, Argentina, for a hybrid contractor role to modernize legacy platforms into scalable microservices. You will design and build backend services with Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x, create REST APIs, integrate SOAP services, and apply domain-driven design and clean architecture to ensure performance and observability.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with microservices and distributed architectures.
• Strong experience with REST APIs and SOAP integrations.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or Oracle.
• Experience with CI/CD and software quality practices.
• Experience in financial or high-transaction environments is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services and microservices.
• Build REST APIs and integrate with legacy SOAP services.
• Support the migration of transactional legacy systems to modern distributed architectures.
• Apply Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design principles.
