Job summary

Cognizant in Buenos Aires is seeking a Software Engineer (C++ / Python) focused on code review to ensure high-quality, reliable code across large-scale systems, including AI-generated code. You will work with engineering teams to assess and improve code quality, standards, and performance.

This hybrid role requires two days per week in the Cognizant office, with standard Monday to Friday shifts 9:00–18:00 or 10:00–19:00 local time.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C++ and Python (strongly preferred).
• Strong code review experience with the ability to assess code for quality, scalability, and adherence to standards.
• Experience reviewing AI-generated code and identifying potential issues.
• Solid understanding of unit testing, integration testing, and fuzz testing concepts.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to provide concise, constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate code changes (CLs), including AI-generated code, to ensure correctness, performance, readability, and alignment with best practices.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.
• Analyze AI-generated code changes to identify risks, inconsistencies, or inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to uphold coding standards and testing practices.
• Support continuous improvement of code review processes and tooling.
