Silver.dev is seeking an Engineering Lead to shape backend architecture and guide a squad toward scalable, reliable services. You will own architecture decisions, set best practices, and drive performance improvements across Node.js and NestJS-based systems.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps, and lead deployments, testing, and CI/CD in a fast-paced startup. Fluent in Spanish and English, you will help attract talent and build robust, cloud-native backend

Formación

• 5+ years in backend development with at least 2 years in a leadership or technical lead role
• Strong expertise in Node.js and NestJS for building scalable backend applications
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design, security, and performance optimization
• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL including data modelling and query optimization
• Experience implementing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks
• Expertise in microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (GCP), and infrastructure-as-code
• Strong leadership skills with mentoring and developing engineering teams
• Excellent collaboration across product, frontend, and DevOps teams
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to navigate complex technical challenges in a fast-paced startup
• Spanish and English proficiency

Responsabilidades

• Act as the Engineering lead within a squad, guiding architectural decisions and best practices
• Collaborate with frontend leads to ensure smooth backend-frontend integration
• Lead technical strategy for backend development to ensure scalability and performance
• Own architecture and design of backend services, setting coding standards
• Develop and maintain high-performance back-end services using Node.js and NestJS
• Drive technical innovation by adopting new technologies and practices
• Ensure reliability and efficiency through testing, monitoring, and logging
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, frontend, and DevOps teams
• Mentor and coach backend developers to foster technical excellence
• Oversee deployments and production operations for high availability
• Participate in hiring to attract top engineering talent
