Softgic in Buenos Aires is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong AWS, automation, CI/CD, and production-grade scalability skills. You will design and operate secure, highly available infrastructure, manage container workloads, and own end-to-end infrastructure projects.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in DevOps/SRE, Terraform mastery, Jenkins/Groovy expertise, and robust data infrastructure experience (Kafka, EMR, Airflow).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering for 24/7 production environments.
• Advanced AWS skills across ECS/Fargate, ALB/NLB, VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, IAM, KMS, and more.
• Terraform expertise with modular, multi-environment deployments.
• Containerization with Docker and ECS.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Groovy, and Jenkinsfiles; Shift-Left security.
• Kafka (AWS MSK), Aerospike, EMR/EMR Serverless, Flink, Airflow, Athena, and S3 Tables.
• Monitoring/observability: Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, OpenSearch, Logstash, Fluent Bit, Slack, SNS.
• Automation: Python (boto3), Bash, AWS Lambda.
• Security: vulnerability management, patching, credential protection, least privilege.
• Git, PRs, Jira, Confluence; data-driven decisions; collaboration.
• Independent work and proactive communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, highly available AWS infrastructure.
• Manage containerized workloads using ECS/Fargate, ALB/NLB, and autoscaling.
• Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules and Jenkins/Groovy CI/CD pipelines.
• Operate and optimize streaming platforms, data infrastructure, and distributed systems.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and proactive incident resolution.
• Continuously optimize AWS costs through resource right-sizing and cost-conscious architecture.
• Automate operational processes using Python, Bash, and AWS Lambda.
• Strengthen infrastructure security and CI/CD security controls.
• Own infrastructure projects end-to-end, from design to documentation and support.
• Create runbooks and technical docs for first-level support teams.
• Manage infrastructure changes via reviewed Pull Requests on main branch.
• Use performance metrics and cost analysis to guide decisions and leadership.
• Leverage AI tools to improve productivity while maintaining code quality.
