Svitla Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Automation QA Engineer for a full-time role serving Latin America. Join a client Dev/QE team building a large-scale consumer web app with a UI rewrite and new backend logic.

You will contribute to test automation, framework development, API and end-to-end testing, and manual testing when needed. The role emphasizes owning test strategy, building automation, and mentoring QE engineers within a fast-paced delivery team.

Formación

• At least 4 years of software QA experience.
• Hands-on with Cypress and/or Playwright for end-to-end testing.
• Experience designing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bamboo, or Jenkins).
• Experience with API testing and service-layer validation.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum and embedded QE within a delivery team.
• Understanding SDLC and software integrations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate testing strategy and quality risks to stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor other QA/QE engineers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing strategies.

• Mentor team members and promote modern quality engineering practices.

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer for a full-time position in Latin America. Our client is a U.S.-based technology organization developing enterprise software solutions for the communications and energy sectors. You will join the client’s Dev/QE team working on a large-scale end-consumer web application used by millions of users every month. The product is currently undergoing significant modernization, including a complete UI rewrite and implementation of new backend logic. The client is looking for a strong Quality Engineer to contribute to test automation, automation framework development, API and end-to-end testing, as well as manual testing when needed.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software quality assurance experience.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress and/or Playwright for end-to-end and component testing.
• Experience designing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Bamboo, or Jenkins.
• Experience with API testing and service-layer validation.
• Solid knowledge of Agile/Scrum and experience working as an embedded QE within a delivery team.
• Understanding of software integrations and the broader SDLC.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate testing strategy and quality risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor other QA/QE engineers.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Will be a plus

• Experience with TestKube.
• Experience with Zephyr for test case management.
• Experience with Atlassian tools: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo.
• Experience with K6 for performance/load testing.
• Experience with Postman.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development/testing workflows and tools such as Claude Code.
• Experience in the Utility or Telecom industries.
• Knowledge of Project Management principles.
• ISTQB, CSTE, or another relevant QA/testing certification.

Responsibilities

• Mentor team members and promote modern quality engineering practices.
