Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Platform Engineer to design and scale core infrastructure that supports rapid growth. You will work with engineering and data science teams to keep systems performant and secure, using AWS, Kubernetes, and AI-native tooling.

The role emphasizes distributed architecture, collaboration with leadership, and ownership of critical platform services that enable rapid delivery to Fortune 500 brands and startups alike.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 1+ year API design and development using REST or gRPC.
• 1+ year AWS and Kubernetes experience with service mesh tech (Istio/Linkerd/Cilium).
• 1+ year building architectural components like service registry or streaming.
• 6+ months of experience with LLMs, prompt engineering or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months of AI-native SDLC usage (Claude Code or similar).
• Excellent communication skills and upper-intermediate English.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to build and scale core infrastructure that supports rapid company growth. This person designs reliable platform services, manages cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes, and works closely with engineering and data science teams to keep systems performant and secure. Comfort with distributed architecture and AI-native tooling matters here.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable platform services to support company growth.
• Measure, monitor, and optimize system performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing infrastructure-level improvements.
• Manage cloud resources and service boundaries, ensuring security and operational excellence.
• Implement best practices, methodologies, and tools to optimize the development process and increase efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to provide updates on project status, risks, and issues.

MUST HAVES

• 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 1+ year of experience with API design and development using REST/gRPC.
• 1+ year of experience with AWS and Kubernetes, including experience with Service Mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, Cilium, or similar.
• 1+ year of experience building advanced architectural components such as service registry, streaming, event bus, distributed caching, federated/polyglot persistence, etc.
• 6+ months of experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, harness engineering, or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months of SDLC AI-native usage via Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to learn on the fly, and a desire for ownership.
• Upper-intermediate English level.
