Job summary

Darwoft is seeking a Senior AI Engineer (Agentic Systems & LLMs) for a global contractor role. You will design, build, and deploy AI agents, integrate them with data sources and APIs, and lead evaluation pipelines to optimize performance and cost.

Roadmap includes RAG architectures, vector databases, and advanced prompt tooling. Remote, worldwide coordination with US/LATAM teams is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 1–2 years building and deploying production AI/ML apps.
• Expertise in Python and major LLM APIs/frameworks (OpenAI SDK, Google AI SDK, CrewAI, LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• Experience implementing agentic workflows, including RAG architectures, vector databases, and state/memory management.
• Strong software development fundamentals, version control (Git/GitHub), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to translate high-level business goals into clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
• Nice-to-have: open-source contributions visible on GitHub.
• Nice-to-have: token usage optimization and LLM cost-attribution modeling.

Responsibilities

• Agent Development & Deployment: Design, build, test, and deploy robust AI agents using Python and modern frameworks.
• End-to-End System Integration: Connect AI agents with diverse data sources, services, and external APIs.
• LLM Evaluation & Optimization: Build evaluation pipelines for LLM-powered agents focusing on accuracy and cost efficiency.
• Prompt Engineering & Custom Tooling: Develop tools, RAG architectures, and vector search systems for grounded performance.
• Technical leadership: Guide decisions on agentic lifecycle and AI advancements.
