Job summary

Applaudo is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, implement, and optimize production-grade LLM applications and agentic AI systems. You will build MCP servers, integrate OpenAI/Anthropic models, and own prompt strategies within a contractor model aligned to US EDT hours.

You will collaborate with software engineers and AI specialists to deliver scalable, production-ready AI solutions, navigate brownfield Python code, and continuously improve evaluation frameworks and backend services.

Qualifications

• Production-grade AI and LLM applications experience.
• Experience with MCP servers in production.
• Strong Python engineering practices and testing.
• Ability to work in a contractor model and with US EDT hours.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain MCP servers, and context management.
• Implement intent evaluation, routing, and multi-source calls.
• Integrate Anthropic and OpenAI models in production.
• Manage prompt versioning, fallbacks, and performance optimization.
• Write SQL for evaluation and monitoring.
• Work in a partially documented codebase with safe incremental changes.
• Collaborate with engineers and AI specialists to deliver production-ready AI.
