Job summary

Rootstrap is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to shape AI & data-driven features across our products. You will design, implement, and deploy LLM-based solutions, including RAG systems and multi-agent tools, and embed models into robust production APIs and services.

You’ll own the lifecycle from experimentation to monitoring while collaborating with product and engineering teams to scale AI capabilities. The role emphasizes hands-on work with open-source and proprietary models, Cloud

Qualifications

• 4+ years in AI/ML roles with shipped software
• Hands-on with LLMs and agent frameworks
• Proficient in prompt engineering, vector databases, and embeddings
• Experience testing AI systems (Promptfoo, Giskard)
• Strong Python with API development (FastAPI, Django)
• Production cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure) and Docker
• Good practice: CI/CD, Git, modular design
• Familiarity with MLOps/deployment workflows a plus

Responsibilities

• Design and implement LLM-based solutions (RAG, multi-agent tools)
• Fine-tune and deploy foundation models
• Build end-to-end AI-powered features with product/engineering
• Create scalable APIs/services for frontend/mobile
• Own AI feature lifecycle from experiment to deployment and monitoring
• Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD and IaC for AI services
• Implement observability, error tracking, and performance monitoring
• Evaluate diverse AI frameworks and libraries
• Lead technical discussions and mentor peers
• Identify AI-driven product opportunities with clients/teams
