As a Senior Accounting Analyst / Asistente Contable, you will own core bookkeeping processes, perform reconciliations, manage AP/AR, and support month-end close with US compliance considerations.

You’ll collaborate directly with US clients and finance leads, building international experience and advancing toward Senior roles.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of independent full-cycle bookkeeping.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting and COA.
• Accurate, detail-oriented with reconciliations.
• Able to manage deadlines across multiple clients.
• Strong English communication with US stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-Day Bookkeeping: Record, categorize, and review transactions in the general ledger.
• Reconciliations: Bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations; investigate discrepancies.
• AP & AR: Manage vendor bills, payments, invoicing, collections, and aging reports.
• Month-End Close Support: Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and depreciation schedules.
• Payroll & Compliance Support: Record payroll entries and assist with US tax/compliance.

What You'll Own

• Day-to-Day Bookkeeping: Record, categorize, and review transactions accurately and on time in the general ledger.
• Reconciliations: Do bank, credit card, and balance sheet account reconciliations, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• AP & AR: Manage vendor bills, payment runs, customer invoicing, collections follow-up, and aging reports.
• Month-End Close Support: Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and depreciation schedules, and support a timely, accurate close.
• Payroll & Compliance Support: Record payroll entries and help with sales tax, 1099 preparation, and other US compliance requirements.
• Reporting & Communication: Prepare monthly financial statements for review, keep documentation organized, and work directly with US clients and finance leads.

What We're Looking For

• Strong bookkeeping ownership: 4+ years of experience independently managing full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting for one or more businesses.
• Solid accounting fundamentals: A good understanding of accrual accounting, the chart of accounts, journal entries, and how transactions flow into the financial statements.
• Accuracy and attention to detail: A track record of keeping books clean, reconciled, and ready for review.
• Organization and reliability: Able to manage recurring deadlines across several clients or entities with little supervision.
• Strong English communication: Comfortable answering questions, asking for documents, and working directly with US-based stakeholders.

Good to Have

• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, or similar accounting software.
• Familiarity with tools like Bill.com, Ramp, Expensify, Gusto, or ADP.
• Exposure to US GAAP or US bookkeeping practices (1099s, sales tax).
• A degree in Accounting (Contador Público) or a related field. Registration with the Consejo Profesional de Ciencias Económicas is a plus.
• Experience supporting US startups, small businesses, or offshore accounting teams.
