Job Overview

The SAP Project Manager (Data Migration Focus) will lead critical SAP implementation projects with an emphasis on managing and overseeing complex data migration activities. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in SAP project management, data migration strategies, and a deep understanding of SAP systems.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in data migration, and a proven ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership
• Lead cross-functional project teams to execute data migration projects effectively.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resources, and budgets.
• Ensure adherence to SAP project management methodologies and IT governance standards.
• Data Migration Oversight
• Manage the entire data migration lifecycle, including data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance with client-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve migration-related issues.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather and refine data migration requirements.
• Maintain transparent communication with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Risk Management and Reporting
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and control project costs, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
• Deliver comprehensive reports on project status, milestones, and performance metrics.
• Post-Go-Live Support
• Oversee post-implementation support to address issues related to data migration.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and documentation for ongoing operations.
  

Qualifications And Skills

• Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
• Work Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in SAP project management, with at least 5 years focusing on data migration activities.
• Proven experience managing large-scale SAP projects across diverse industries.
• Technical Expertise:
• In-depth knowledge of SAP data migration tools (e.g., LSMW, BODS, or Migration Cockpit).
• Hands-on experience in SAP modules relevant to data migration (e.g., FICO, MM, PM).
• Familiarity with ETL tools and methodologies.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
