Job summary

PwC Buenos Aires is seeking a Senior Associate for Risk & Independence within the Internal Firm Services group. You will support enterprise risk management with emphasis on personal independence, regulatory compliance, and policy review.

Lead workstreams, guide juniors, interpret data, and uphold professional standards in a changing environment. You will collaborate with global teams across Advisory, Assurance, Tax and Business Services, contributing to dependable support and robust risk

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or the equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Oral and written proficiency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Review personal independence matters and interpret firm policies, regulatory guidelines, and governance requirements.
• Analyze complex independence scenarios and document risk considerations, actions and decisions.
• Interpret data from risk registers, reporting tools, and policy records to inform recommendations.
• Support development and maintenance of independence processes, controls, and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather facts, clarify issues, and resolve independence concerns.
• Apply critical thinking to identify potential conflicts, control gaps, and process improvement opportunities.
• Mentor junior team members on independence procedures, documentation practices, and technical standards.
• Monitor changes in policies and regulatory guidance and translate updates into day-to-day actions.
• Ensure information security and data protection practices are followed.

As a Risk & Independence - Personal Independence - Senior Associate you will support enterprise risk management work within our Internal Firm Services practice, focusing on personal independence matters, regulatory requirements, and the review of policies, controls, and related documentation. As a Senior Associate you will analyze complex situations, manage assigned workstreams, build meaningful relationships, and guide junior team members while using critical thinking to interpret data, review feedback, and support consistent application of professional standards. In this role at PwC, you will contribute to risk and compliance activities, anticipate team and stakeholder needs, and apply your knowledge of the business context to help deliver dependable support in a changing environment.
