SUMMARY OF POSITION

Provides friendly and efficient service in a timely manner to guests according to company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards. Shows guests genuine hospitality to create a memorable experience. Maintains a professional appearance and a sincere, friendly attitude. Performs duties to maximize guest satisfaction and maintain a positive work environment as directed by the Manager on Duty.

POSITION ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
  1. Greet guests courteously and promptly upon seating, using a non-scripted greeting.
  2. Use menu knowledge to offer suggestions, answer questions, and anticipate guest needs.
  3. Deliver hot food promptly, checking for accuracy, appearance, and temperature.
  4. Show genuine hospitality, actively engage with guests, address concerns, and ensure 100% satisfaction.
  5. Keep tables, stations, and common areas clean, completing assigned cleaning duties.
  6. Attend to guest requests and needs.
  7. Perform side work during downtime, such as restocking and bussing tables.
  8. Process orders and operate POS equipment accurately.
  9. Assist team members and communicate issues to management.
  10. Maintain cleanliness of service stations, garnish line, and dining area.
  11. Run food for servers to ensure hot food is served hot.
  12. Maintain general cleanliness and organization of the dining room and pantry.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Stand and walk extensively for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to see clearly at various distances and distinguish shapes.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Work in environments with heat, steam, smoke, and cold.
  • Reach heights of about 6 feet and depths of 2.5 to 3 feet.
  • Lift and carry trays weighing up to 50 pounds over distances of up to 30 feet.
  • Work irregular hours under pressure during busy times.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Guidance and training from the Manager on Duty regarding procedures and assignments.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Basic skills such as sanitation, safety, and customer service can be taught in-house.
