Job summary

Talan is seeking a data-driven developer to optimize batch processing and integrate quant libraries in a remote role. You will collaborate with Quants, Data, and the IMM team to deliver robust analytics platforms and scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities include maintaining code quality with tests, managing security concerns, and contributing to CI/CD workflows while leveraging Spark and Parquet for large-scale data processing. Fluency in English (B2/C1) is required.

Qualifications

• Strong Java with focus on performance, memory management, and multithreading.
• Numerical computing experience with heavy calculations and parallel processing.
• Credit counterparty risk internal model development experience.
• Proficiency with build and test tools: JUnit, Git, CI/CD.
• Experience with data tooling: Spark and Parquet.
• English proficiency at B2/C1 level.

Responsibilities

• Improve performance to ensure daily batch runs on time.
• Integrate quant libraries into the data processing pipeline.
• Maintain quality by writing tests, addressing security findings, and keeping the CI pipeline green.
• Collaborate closely with Quants, Data teams, and the IMM team.
